Kathak meets rap! An experimental piece thirTEEN which explores a relationship between Kathak and rap in the spirit of rebellious teenage years. Performed by Sonia Chandaria Tillu and Jaina Modasia at the premiere of SLDC's  'Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen' at The Offbeat Festival 2019 in Oxford.

A Kathak interpretation of the Irish Riverdance performed by Sonia at the Inspire Women’s Awards 2018 at Reebok/Macron stadium in Bolton. Choreographic support by Sujata Banerjee

A duet choreographed and performed by Sonia & BBC Young Dancer South Asian Category Winner 2017 Shyam Dattani at the Beck Theatre as part of the Hemantika Kathak Festival 2018. This Shiva stuti in taal jhaptaal sees the artists experimenting with the boundaries of Kathak movement beyond their traditional training. Costume design: Shyam Dattani; Lighting: Dinesh Poddar

Sonia performing at the European Regional final of the Kalashram Kathak Competition judged by the legendary Pandit Birju Maharaj. Her performance of ‘Jhoolat Radhe’ thumri followed by classical teentaal technique saw her win the competition. Padhant by Sujata Banerjee, tabla by Aniruddha Mukherji & Nagma by Chandrachur Bhattacharjee.
